$ Nargle's Referral HQ - How it works/what to do

How it Works

A free iPod, Xbox, TiVo, portable video player, desktop computer, or flat screen monitor? How can they do that? Well, I'll you. The way it works is the companies offering the free product (Gratis, Offercentric, etc.) are affiliated with certain other companies who want to get people signed up for their product. These companies range from AOL to the New York Times to vitamin supplement makers. When you sign up for one of their offers, they give a certain amount of money to the free product provider. Of course, you have to refer your friends, so they're getting more than one commission. By having you refer friends, they make enough commission money to pay for the free product. As the pyramid gets bigger, so do their profits. And, they don't have to spend any money until all the required number of referrals are completed.

What to Do

  1. Go to the website with the product you want. Try looking through the Offers page on this site.
  2. Preferrably using Internet Explorer, and making sure cookies are allowed, sign up for an account. ONLY SIGN UP FOR ONE PER SITE.If you do more than one you'll get put on hold & won't get your free gift.
  3. Then, complete one of the offers under the "Complete Offer" page.
  4. Almost all require a credit card or at least a checking account. However, that doesn't mean you have to spend any money. It's supposed to be free, right?
  5. Click here for an extensive list of the offers and ratings of people who've done them. I recommend Blockbuster, eFax, or NetZero/PeoplePC.
  6. Watch out for Shipping & Handling fees. Even though it may say "free sample" they usually charge you the S&H.
  7. Once you complete the offer, click the button that says you've done so. You receive confirmation shortly (depending on what offer you do)
  8. Then, go to "Refer Friends" and find your referral link.
  9. Send it to your friends and tell them to sign up, post it somewhere on the internet, or join a Conga.
